Preparation for the GED Tests

Courses are not a requirement, but preparation is recommended. Information about Adult Basic Education classes can be obtained from

Bureau of Adult Education
Division of Adult Learning and Rehabilitation
21 South Fruit Street, Suite 20
Concord, NH 03301
(603) 271-6698
or from your local testing center

The Bureau of Adult Education maintains a list of GED preparation classes. Contact the local program nearest you to find out details about classes and how to register.

If you do not find a GED preparation class near you, you may be able to get assistance from an Adult Learner Services Program. Contact the program nearest to you and talk with the coordinator about getting a volunteer tutor.

Textbooks on GED preparation are available in public libraries and bookstores.

The official Web site of the GED Testing Program also provides information at www.gedtest.org.
