Career School Licensing - (Londergan Hall, Room 125)

  • Regulates/licenses private, postsecondary (i.e., post high school) career (i.e., job related) schools. Some examples include computer, massage therapy, health career/nursing, dog training, bartending, hazardous waste, midwifery, EMS, paramedic training, income tax preparing, modeling, etc.

  • Regulates colleges and universities that have a physical presence in NH. The colleges and universities are private, profit and non-profit.

* Closed School Transcripts - (Londergan Hall, Room 100B)

  • Provides transcripts to students who attended NH schools (colleges/universities/career schools) that are no longer in operation.

College Access Challenge Grant - (Londergan Hall, Room 113)

  • The overarching goal of the College Access Challenge Grant is to increase the enrollment in postsecondary education within 12 months of a student’s high school graduation, while specifically targeting underrepresented populations in New Hampshire.

Financial Aid - (Londergan Hall, Room 113)

  • The Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans will be funded, and New Hampshire will continue to participate in the New England Board of Higher Education’s New England Regional Student Tuition Break Program.
  • The Tuition Waiver Program for Foster Children will continue, as will receipt and collection of “unforgivable” loan repayments to the Workforce Incentive Program, Veterinary/Medical/Optometric Program, and the Paul Douglas Teacher Scholarship Program.

Research/Studies - (Londergan Hall, Room 113)

  • Collects Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS) information used by the US Department of Education to produce national reports and determine an institution’s eligibility to participate in Title IV funding.
  • Annually updates the Status Report of Postsecondary Education in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Collaborates with others to support state research/studies.
  • Provides information to the public about studies done in postsecondary education.

Veterans Education Services - (Walker Building, 21 South Fruit Street, Suite 20)

  • Regulates/approves programs for eligible veterans and beneficiaries utilizing their GI Bill benefits. Includes approvals of:
    • College and University Programs
    • Career School Programs
    • Flight Training Programs
    • High School Diploma Programs
    • Correspondence School Programs
    • Apprenticeships and On-The-Job Training Programs
    • Medical Residency and Fellowship Programs
    • National Tests for College Credit and Admissions
    • Tests required for Licensing and/or Certification
