Technical Assistance to Title I Priority and Focus Schools

Upcoming events relating to instructional changes to support College and Career Ready Standards based on the Common Core State Standards Acrobat Reader

The New Hampshire Department of Education has created an ongoing Request ForProposals (RFP) process to identify a cadre of coaches that have demonstrated the ability to turn schools around. The intent of this non-competitive process is to identify entities with a proven history of school turnaround. The vetting process is intended to be a beginning for LEAs, not an end. The recommendation is that LEAs and schools that are interested in hiring a turnaround coach from the vetted list should conduct an in-depth interview and examination of data. These coaches are available to provide technical assistance to schools across the state of New Hampshire who are designated as Title I Priority and Focus Schools regarding:

  • Standards, instruction and assessment;
  • School improvement;
  • Innovation; and
  • School Turnaround Principles
    • Leadership
    • Effective teachers
    • Redesign of school day, week, year
    • Strengthening of instructional programs
    • Use of data to inform instruction
    • Culture and climate
    • Engagement of families and communities

Again, the compilation of this list has not included a competitive process and is only meant to assist schools in their search for a turnaround coach. The review of proposals is based on evidence of meeting the expected criteria in the Technical Assistance to Title I Priority and Focus Schools RFP. Also, this list may be updated from time to time as application are received and reviewed. To obtain a copy of the proposals submitted, please contact Paula Delisi at paula.delisi@doe.nh.gov or (603) 271-6579.
