Ed 306 Review of Minimum Standards


As required by statute, the New Hampshire State Board of Education is in the process of conducting a regular review of Ed 306, Minimum Standards for Public School Approval Acrobat Reader.

On May 15, 2013, the State Board adopted the Initial Proposal for Ed 306 Acrobat Reader.

The Board will be holding public hearings on:

  • August 19, 2013
  • September 9, 2013 (North Country)
  • September 26, 2013

Thursday April 25th content area staff and content area representatives met to discuss and develop this program area sample format Acrobat Reader to re-write the program requirements in the minimum standards for public school approval for recommendations to the State Board.

Steering Committee Meetings

As a result of the April 23rd steering committee meeting please see this multi-colored document outlining the progression of the conversation of the relevant sections of Ed 306 which shows how Competencies vs credits Acrobat Reader has developed.

At the meeting of April 23rd the group reviewed the text identified in the document below "summary of the April 4th discussion" The group also identified other areas where clarification of language was needed.

A steering committee of stakeholders was established to assist us with recommendations to the State Board for this review.

The Charge of the Committee is to:

  • Update the entire 300 series Minimum Standards with respect to the ESEA Flexibility Waiver, and College and Career Ready Standards,
  • Make crystal clear the expectations in the minimum standards as they pertain to state adequacy input requirements, and
  • Create a more consistent and common format for the curricular standards.
