

The PSB is a 21-member body authorized by state law to advise the State Board of Education regarding professional growth, certification, and governance of the education profession in New Hampshire. Voting membership of the PSB consists of nine classroom teachers and/or education specialists; nine representatives of higher education and education administration; two qualified laypersons; and one member of the Department of Education. Currently two openings exist for representatives of educators/education specialists, four for representatives of higher education/education administrators, and one for qualified lay persons.
PSB members are appointed for three-year terms and may serve up to two full terms. The Board meets at least five times a year between September and June.
