As declared by Congress in 1946, the purpose of the Child Nutrition Programs is to safeguard the health and well-being of the Nation's children. In New Hampshire, the Bureau of Nutrition Programs and Services provides technical assistance, guidance and professional training to schools and programs to ensure that the meal programs operate in accordance with the regulations as nutritious meals are provided to all children. Over 30 million Federal dollars and $900,000 State dollars support the National School Lunch Program.
NOTICE: As of August 1, 2011, the web claiming system for all Child Nutrition Program participants will be http://nutrition.doe.nh.gov/fns. Please update any references you might have to the web claiming system. |
