Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act

As a condition of receiving Perkins funds for CTE programs, each state must set and show progress toward a set of core indicators of performance. The State Plan for Perkins lasts for four years, and the State of New Hampshire must propose performance levels for each year of the four-year State Plan. The PDF below includes a list of these performance targets. For the purposes of The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins), the New Hampshire Department of Education defines a CTE concentrator as: A student who has completed two CTE courses. A course is defined as Semester-length CTE learning experiences (including classroom instruction, lab or shop time, and work-based learning experiences such as internships, apprenticeships, or student-run enterprises within CTE.

The New Hampshire Department of Education’s Bureau of Career Development will make these performance targets available for public comment until March 6, 2020.

The following core indicators of performance are for the part of the State Plan covering CTE programs funded by Perkins funds for the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH).

Please direct any questions or other feedback on the performance targets to Jeff Beard in the Bureau of Career Development: Jeffry.Beard@doe.nh.gov.
