7 NH Students Earn College Board Scholarships

College Board expands scholarship opportunities for class of 2022 and awards $5,500 in scholarship funds to 7 students in the 2021 class

CONCORD – College Board has announced New Hampshire high school scholarship winners and announced enhanced scholarship opportunities for the Class of 2022.

College Board, which is most widely known for their SAT assessment for entrance into many colleges, offers a scholarship program to high school juniors and seniors to help them navigate the process of applying for college by rewarding their efforts along the way.

As students complete various steps in the college application process, they are eligible for drawings which take place throughout the year. For example, high school juniors can earn $500 by building a list of six potential schools they might like to attend or by taking the practice SAT.

Between January and November, New Hampshire had 7 students earn a total of $5,500 in scholarships. This included students from Hanover, Kennett, Londonderry, Pinkerton, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Souhegan High Schools. Congratulations to these students!

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is currently open to all New Hampshire class of 2022 students. 7,000 students, from across the country, in the class of 2022 have already started participating in the program that awards nearly $5 million of scholarships per year.

More information on the scholarship program can be found in the attached document or on the web.
