Commissioner Edelblut issues statement on New Hampshire’s involvement in joint lawsuit

CONCORD, NH — In response to the lawsuit against the federal government for imposing a vaccine mandate on federal contractors and federally contracted employees, Frank Edelblut, commissioner of education, releases the following statement.

“I am thankful that Attorney General Formella has joined this lawsuit pushing back on federal overreach. As a trustee for the University System of New Hampshire, I was disheartened when the University was placed in an untenable position last week resulting in the implementation of a vaccine mandate. The principles of federalism need to be respected – the University has effectively managed throughout this pandemic and does not need the federal government telling them how to manage the health and safety of their campuses.”
