Department of Education Enhances Data Accessibility with Improved iPlatform

Concord, NH – Do you want to know how many students attend K-12 schools in Keene? Interested in the graduation rate in Hollis/Brookline? What about a bird’s eye view of various key indicators across all north country schools or districts? Full data transparency and stimulating community conversations about the state of local school systems is the inspiration behind the enhanced iPlatform portal.

“We all have a stake in the success of our K-12 education system, and we all share the common aspiration of well-educated students. No one data point is adequate to tell the whole story of an educational experience. This enhanced system is dynamic in providing a bigger picture by looking at multiple measures,” says Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut. “Our hope is that meaningful and important conversations will be spurred across the state as parents, educators and community members access this vital data.”

iPlatform is the NH Department of Education data portal which tells data stories from schools and districts across the state. The portal offers a set of interactive tools as well as static data reports to assist with data-driven decision making across communities. The information published through the portal is constantly adapted and expanded to meet the needs of all stakeholders. Two of these tools, iReport and iExplore, have been completely redesigned to further enhance accessibility to data for expert users and novices alike.

The Department hopes New Hampshire school administrators, educators, legislators, school board members and community members will take advantage of the variety of data and tools offered through the iPlatform portal. We invite the public to learn more about the capabilities offered by joining an informational webinar of iPlatform on June 2 or 9. Registration for these webinars is available on the iPlatform home page at: https://tinyurl.com/nhiplatform.
