DOE wraps up 2020 Backpack Drive

More than 200 backpacks donated for NH students

CONCORD- The New Hampshire Department of Education’s 5th Annual Backpack Drive concluded with more than 200 backpacks donated for Granite State students to bring back to school this fall. Department Attorney Diana Fenton first organized the backpack drive in 2016 as a way to help families in need.

“’Back to school’ means more this year than ever before,” Fenton said. “I want to thank everyone who donated a new backpack to help New Hampshire families cross one task off their list.”

“We know that back-to-school expenses can be an obstacle for New Hampshire families, and the Department’s Backpack Drive is a great way for people to help” added Edelblut. “Diana’s energy and dedication has helped thousands of New Hampshire families over the past five years.”

The donated backpacks will be distributed to local school districts to give to local students.
