Statewide assessment data released

CONCORD, NH — The Department of Education today released comprehensive statewide assessment data for the 2021-2022 school year. While preliminary assessment results were previously published in July at the state level only, the newly published data set provides information at the state, district, and school levels.

Users of the data set can sort assessment results by content area, grade level, and student sub-group. Student performance on the statewide assessment is measured across four levels of proficiency – below proficient, approaching proficient, proficient, and above proficient. The statewide assessment data identifies the percentage of students in each school and district that scored at each level, as well as the total percentage of students that are scoring at proficient or better.

As noted in the preliminary data release, statewide assessment results show that students increased their proficiency when compared against achievement levels in 2021, however performance still remains slightly lower when compared to 2019 pre-pandemic levels. School and district report cards, which include the full academic assessment results and federal accountability data, will be released in November as part of the update to the state’s iReport system.
