Summer Food Service Program

The SFSP provides reimbursements to participating programs to serve nutritious meals to children in residential camps, day camps, open site locations, closed site locations, schools and non-profit organizations. These meals ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is out.

SFSP Mapping Tools for Summer Meal Programs

Accurate and trustworthy data is a powerful tool and, when used correctly, invaluable in targeted expansion of USDA's Summer Meal Programs. Data can be used to strengthen existing programs and to locate new sites by identifying service gaps in communities throughout the country. Data can also be used to identify eligible sites, enhance outreach efforts, and boost the credibility of other summer meal expansion efforts. The mapping tool links are designed to assist State agencies, partners and sponsors interested in using data to build summer meal capacity.
