Nominations due to the NH Department of Education The nomination should be made early enough to ensure that the nominated teacher is given enough time to thoroughly prepare an application that reflects exemplary teaching prior to the application deadline. |
March 15 | Nomination applications (prepared by nominated teacher) due to Department of Education |
Early-April | Ceremony for all Nominees (nominees invited to display their students' and/or their work) |
Mid-April | Letters mailed out to nominees announcing the semi-finalists |
May | Site visits to semi-finalists' schools; representatives from the Teacher of the Year Committee observe the teacher in class, interview the teacher, colleagues, students, parents and supervisors. |
June | Finalists selected |
July-August | Oral Presentations of Finalists
Teacher of the Year Application Due at Oral Presentation |
August | Applications reviewed |
September | Announcement of 2020 NH Teacher of the Year |
