Request for Information

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education (NHDOE), is requesting information from firms with expertise in a State Student Information System. The NHDOE is seeking ideas and recommendations from experienced industry partners regarding an opportunity to support a Statewide Student Information System. This information may be used to assist us with the subsequent preparation of a request for proposals (RFP) to upgrade/replace our current systems. The NHDOE may also proceed directly to a contract without an RFP if it believes this is a prudent and appropriate approach. In an attempt to identify all possible products available on the market and gain information on these products, we are issuing this REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI).

NH DOE’s goal for this RFI is to identify one or more qualifying student information systems based on best business and technology practices for student information management in education. Qualifying systems will enable students, teachers, and administrative staff to conduct and perform their business needs in the most streamlined and efficient method, and will make student progress and other data available real-time.

We have provided a set of requirements to give vendors a solid understating of our needs. We seek as much information on the latest Statewide Student Information Systems as possible. Our goal is to obtain a comprehensive understating of our available options, possibly leading to an RFP that may result in a cost effective strategy for the purchase and ongoing maintenance of solutions that will meet our requirements.

Responses have been received. The following vendors have submitted information; they are listed in alphabetical order:

  • Alma
  • Edupoint
  • Focus School Software
  • Follett
  • Infinite Campus
  • IST
  • Powerschool
  • Tyler Technologies
  • Wicked Good Software
  • Vision

The New Hampshire Department of Education will continue with this project in the State of New Hampshire 2020-21 biennium budget as passed by the Governor and Legislature.
