Want to know more? The Toolkit for Employment Success provides an overview of the vocational rehabilitation process and what you can expect if you apply for services.

Anyone can refer themselves, or someone they know, to Vocational Rehabilitation.  When you are referred, NHVR will schedule you an appointment to get started.  At that first meeting your Rehabilitation Counselor will explain the process and provide you with information on services.

  • The first step in the process is your application and eligibility. After NHVR receives your application we will work with you to determine your eligibility for the program.
  • After eligibility, you and your Rehabilitation Counselor will develop a plan to help you reach your employment goals.  Everyone's plans are different as they are based on your job goals and your needs.
  • Once your plan is developed, NHVR continues to provide support and services to assure your success.

Additional information is available by contacting one of our regional offices or the "What is VR? Frequently Asked Questions" Page.
