Morgan Records Management

Showcase the accomplishments of Morgan Records Management, a VR New Hampshire Employment Leadership Award winner that employs people with disabilities.

At Morgan Records Management, employees are considered family. The company leverages its tight-knit team to provide customized solutions to its customers and meet their records management needs.

In early 2020, the company; hired an individual with a disability to work in its Manchester, NH facility. The job match was facilitated and supported by the Moore Center, a partner of VR New Hampshire.

“It’s really a gift to be where we are with everything and bring on the additional resources [needed to make the hire],” said Scott Lagios, Director of Operations at Morgan Records. The job role was a complex one that required specific computer skills, and Mr. Lagios was expecting quite a bit of up-front job training. However, the employee picked things up quickly and swiftly established himself as a valued member of the team.

Morgan Records Management believes it’s important to cater to its employees’ needs and learn the strengths of each individual in order to find the right place for them to thrive in the company. So, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the employee’s transportation could no longer be provided by the Moore Center, the Morgan Records Management team stepped in and provided a transportation plan in order to allow the young man to keep working.

When asked what he would tell other businesses that haven’t yet hired people with disabilities, Mr. Lagios said, “You should have done it already. It is life changing to an employer both professionally and personally and everything in between.”
