Attorney for the New Hampshire Department of Education
Chris Bond began serving as an attorney to the Office of the Commissioner in January 2020.
Immediately prior to joining the Department, Chris practiced law in the Manchester, New Hampshire office of Primmer, Piper, Eggleston & Cramer, PC, where he focused his practice on employment law, corporate transactions, and commercial real estate. From 2005 to 2016, Chris was the General Counsel and Human Resources Director of Bond Auto Parts, Inc., a third-generation Vermont-based family business with locations throughout northern New England and New York. With Chris on its leadership team, Bond Auto added nearly two dozen locations and expanded into two additional states, adding over 400 employees. Bond Auto received multiple awards from the Vermont Governor’s office for its employment practices during Chris’s tenure. Prior to his time at Bond Auto, Chris was an associate in the employment law department of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. Chris began his legal career as law clerk to the Hon. Christopher F. Droney, then a United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.
Chris is currently the Chair-Elect of the American Heart Association’s New Hampshire chapter and a Board member of the Institute for Professional Practice, a Vermont-based non-profit social services agency. He served on the Barre Town (Vermont) Middle and Elementary School Board from 2005 to 2009.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Washington and Lee University and a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Chris and his wife, Heather, have five children and have resided in Bedford, New Hampshire since 2009.
