Attorney for the New Hampshire Department of Education
Attorney Elizabeth Brown joined the team at the New Hampshire Department of Education in June of 2022 with more than 25 years of legal experience. She has been advising clients in a wide range of commercial, corporate and contract issues throughout her career.
Liz received her bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and her law degree from the University of Minnesota. She began her career in Wilmington, Delaware representing clients in a wide range of corporate and commercial issues. She also served as legal counsel for Pierce Atwood LLP in Portsmouth, providing legal services to individual and small business clients in corporate and commercial transactions, estate planning, business succession planning, trust administration and probate.
Liz was a member of the Hollis Brookline Cooperative School District Board from 2014 until June of 2022, and was previously appointed by the Governor to the Commission to Study Issues Relating to Pre-Existing Districts Withdrawing from a Cooperative School District before joining the Department of Education.
Liz is married and has four children. In her spare time, she enjoys attending her children’s sporting and performing arts events, travel, and spending time with her family.
