Public Hearing on Interpreter Fee Schedule

The Department of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Statewide Services Coordinator, Beth Keller, has created a task force to propose raising NH interpreter rates. The proposal pdf link will be posted on January 22, 2025.

A public hearing will be held on January 29, 2025, 4:00-7:00 p.m. (Snow date February 5, 2025, 4:00-7:00 p.m.) in room 100 of the Walker Building, 21 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH. The purpose of the public hearing is to invite interpreters and Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Deaf-Blind community members to share their thoughts, concerns, or input.

SSI & SSDI Ticket to Work and Benefits Counseling Orientation

You are invited to an SSI & SSDI Ticket to Work and Benefits Counseling Orientation session provided by VR New Hampshire.

The orientation provides an overview of work incentives for both SSI and SSDI beneficiaries. It also reviews how work affects Social Security disability cash benefits as well as medical insurance such as Medicare and Medicaid. The orientation will also discuss what to expect when receiving an individualized benefits counseling service.  To register for an orientation click the link below.

 Social Security Disability - Youth Focused Orientation

You are invited to join a Social Security Disability - Youth Focused orientation provided by VR New Hampshire.

The orientation will provide an overview of Social Security disability with a focus on the youth. It will review applying for social security disability, age 18 redetermination, work incentives for the youth (under age 22), introduction to the Ticket to Work program, and an overview of Benefits Counseling services.

The orientation will provide an overview of how work affects Social Security disability cash benefits and health insurance (Medicare and Medicaid). It also provides information on the work incentives available for both SSI and SSDI beneficiaries. Lastly, the orientation will discuss what to expect when receiving an individualized benefits counseling service.
