Welcome to the 2023 Charter School Leadership Best Practices Conference! New Hampshire Department of Education, Office of Charter Schools is proud to partner with the New Hampshire Alliance for Public Charter Schools to bring you this two-day event! By bringing together school leaders and board members from across the state, we can all learn something new that will benefit all charter schools throughout New Hampshire.

Conference Details

The conference will be held over the course of two days: Tuesday and Wednesday, September 19-20, 2023, and will be held at the NH Department of Education Headquarters, located at 25 Hall St, Concord NH, 03301.

Registration opens at 8:15am Tuesday

Sessions begin at 9:00am both days

Draft Agenda and Session Information

Below is a snapshot of the draft agenda for the two days. The days will be comprised of both all-together sessions, and breakout sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to pick which of the breakout sessions they are most interested in attending, to allow their personal agenda to best fit the needs of their school.

Attendees can use this guide to help determine which breakout sessions are best for them and their team. This conference also has multiple training vendors joining us.   • NH Charter School Foundation

The New Hampshire Charter School Foundation is bringing together experienced business and education professionals, determined to advance school choice. This nonprofit is built on helping and advising both new and existing charter schools, to ensure their sustainability and success by providing ongoing and experienced guidance, networking, and operational support.

Presenting: Key Polices for NH Charters, Charter School RSAs, and taking part in Building a Strong Board Panel Discussion

  • Results Ahead

Results Ahead exists to help schools and organizations implement bold, simple ideas in support of dramatic improvement. Results Ahead uses a design-sprint approach (i.e., asking a lot of questions and helping quickly promote solutions) to help leaders design and re-desing schools to effectively serve students and their families.

Directions and Logistics

If you are coming from the north: Take Interstate 93S to Exit 13. Bare right, and the bare left to continue straight on to Hall St. NH Department of Education will be on your left.

If you are coming from the south: Take Interstate 93N to Exit 13. Use the far-left lane to turn onto Manchester St. At the set of lights, use the left lane to turn onto Hall St. NH Department of Education will be on your left.

Parking is LIMITED. We strongly encourage carpooling where possible.

 

Food Options for Attendees

We are hoping to have lunch sponsored for the event. Please use the information below when choosing lunch options on the registrations form:

  • Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich- Zesty sweet Peppadew™ peppers, feta, cucumbers, emerald greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, red onions, hummus, salt, and pepper on Tomato Basil Bread. Served with chips, a cookie, and a pickle.
  • Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich- Oven-roasted turkey breast raised without antibiotics, Applewood-smoked bacon, smoked Gouda, emerald greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, signature sauce, salt and pepper on Tomato Basil Bread. Served with chips, a cookie, and a pickle.
  • Seasonal Greens Salad- Arugula, romaine, baby kale and red leaf blend, grape tomatoes, red onions, and cucumbers tossed with Greek dressing. Served with baguette & a cookie.
